Four videos to discover in HD nature’s wonders according to Brueghel: Haltadefinizione for the RIZÓMATA exhibition

For the first time after 200 years the Allegories of Earth, Air, Water and Fire painted by Jan Brueghel will again be all on display at the picture gallery Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan. The 1796 art requisitions under Napoleon had indeed scattered the four paintings, which are currently permanently on display at the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana (Water and Fire) and the Musée du Louvre (Earth and Air).

The four masterpieces, which allegorically represent the four vital elements of life, the roots (rizómata in Greek) of the natural world, have now been reunited at Milan Pinacoteca Ambrosiana for a truly unmissable exhibition (27 March – 1 July 2012).
On the occasion of this important event, Haltadefinizione has shot a series of full HD videos that explore all the tiniest details of Jan Brueghel’s paintings, leading the visitors into a breathtaking journey ‘inside’ these works of art, whose ultra-high definition imaging now allows to discover details that would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye.
