It is their "passion for culture" that unites UTET, epoch-making publishing house in Turin, and Haltadefinizione in a top-quality multimedia projectdevoted to Sandro Botticelli.
Indeed, a new website has been created to celebrate the Florentine painter symbolising Italian Renaissance: this includes in-depth research, videos and, above all, extraordinary high-definition images, which are the result of a digitalisation project involving all of Botticelli’s paintings displayed in the Uffizi Gallery and kept in its storerooms. Some of these paintings are being published online for the first time, and made available to computer users throughout the world. A crucial aspect which has enabled this project is the cooperation with the Florentine Museum Pole and, in particular, with Superintendent Cristina Acidini, whose video lessons on Botticelli’s painting can be found in the interview section of the website.
