Leonardo in high definition at Santa Maria delle Grazie.
A set of conferences on the history of the city of Milan would have to include one about the masterpiece that made the city famous all over the world, Leonardo da Vinci’sLast Supper. Organized by the Administration of Culture of the City of Milan and the Publisher Laterza, the topic was entrusted to one of greatest experts on Leonardo, Prof. Pietro Cesare Marani, who used a digital image realized by the team of Haltadefinizione, which was displayed on a 215 square foot (20 m2) giant screen. The public that filled the Basilica enjoyed a stirring aesthetic experience, which is normally available to experts only. Following the Prof. Marani’s words, it was possible to view Leonardo’s masterpiece in a deeply moving way, and to see the details that the twenty-year restoration project has revealed.
